Boulder Reservoir was built 1950 as a private reservoir. Over time, there was an agreement made that would keep the reservoir stocked as long as public access was permitted. The reservoir spans about two acres and has a spring that feeds the reservoir. Because there is constant water coming into the reservoir, the water stays cool allowing for great trout fishing.

Vegetation can become quite thick in the middle to late summer months giving anglers a harder time, but at the same time the biggest rewards. Stick to fishing by boat as your will get your best results.

There is an estimate of about 2,500 thousand fish that are stocked each year giving the average angler 4 trout/hour. It is open year round, however the 2nd half of the year always seems to net the highest yield.
